Music On The Hill

Here, you will find pages providing you as much information as possible about the variety of musical programs that take place each Labor Day weekend on Steamer Hill.

While there is a large focus on the machinery, exhibits and non-musical events during the show time, if you need to step in from the heat, occasional sprinkle or coal smoke, you can generally find some type of musical event taking place in just about any building, at just about any time of day.

Starting in the early hours of the morning, music starts in Nelson Hall on top of the hill, you can see square dancing doing on directly behind the Nelson, and in the afternoon you can see the Style Show in the TMB building and grab a bite to eat at the same time.

Scattered about grounds, you will always find musicians 'jamming' with each or under a gazebo, in the Print shop, or just under the shade of a tree.

TMB Board

Music venues are both outdoors, and indoors across showgrounds in some of the larger buildings such as the TMB and Nelson buildings, or possibly you'll catch a group of musicians playing on the front porch of the Print Shop in the afternoon.
