I started coming a few years ago with my brother. He didn't make it last year because he died of cancer. We were so impressed as to how quiet the world must have been in the rural areas 100 plus years ago. Even standing next to a working steam engine is quiet compared to a gas or diesel engine. My dad always said that it was the sadest time of his life when he saw tractors replacing horses on the farm. Now I see why he felt that way.
